It's die cast metal, and has an antiqued copper-like finish. It's shaped like an old school projector. The hole for the pencil is at the back, and the shavings come out the bottom. This is a regular manual sharpener. While it has been antiqued, there is also what appears to be some verdigris developing on the metal which you can clean of if you wish. Quirky little collectible!
