It has real working buckles where the straps meet the bag, so if you really wanted to you could remove the straps. The bottom, corners, and handles are made from faux leather as well. It has a zip top closure, and a purse charm that's the Fossil key. One side has the Fossil logo/monogram in black and gold that's sealed with enamel, while the other said says "Fossil".
